Onboarding Southern Star at Sommarøy, cabins allocation, diner, night onboard.
We set sail the next morning for the crossing of the Norwegian and Greenland seas to Ittoqqortoormiit, the only community of inuits people on the North East coast of Greenland. The village is located in the Northern part of the entrance of Scoresbysund.
After a stop over in Ittoqqortoormiit, we set sail again for 12 days dedicated to the discovery of the Scoresbysund.
The daily legs will be around 30 to 35 nautical miles, giving us plenty of time for hiking. The adventure’s field is huge. During the whole navigation in the fjord, we will keep the off shore watches team and organization for the life onboard. This will give us the flexibility to face any conditions. When conditions are calm, nights watches are not mandatory. We should be every night at anchor.
