We’re ready to go.
The welcome we had in Vancouver was over all our expectations. We had a presentation of the expedition every night and the shooting was quite a success. We got nice footage related with the topic “Climate change and our daily life”. This morning, just before departure, we were invited for a breakfast by the Maritime Museum. We are now full of energy for the sailing ahead.
Right now, a gale is blowing from South-East off shore. We’re not in a hurry to leave the quiet and sheltered passages through the Gulf Islands...

Since our arrival in Vancouver, lectures and shooting does not stop. The presentation of the expedition yesterday night at the Vancouver Aquarium had a good success. From the film side, we keep going with the topic “Climate Change and our daily life” but we had found others interesting subjects. Yesterday for exemple we had an interview with the doctor in physics Michel Laberge from “General Fusion” who works on the nuclear fusion to try to resolve the problem linked with nuclear waste. Myron Sullivan will come today to tell us about his way to fight against oil spill in bringing rescue materials by plane. This afternoon we’ll meet Sean Pander from the Vancouver City Hall to talk about urban area and sustainibility. They want to make the athletes village for the Olympics of 2010 a showcase for this matter.
