Today is a big day off. The traffic is huge, lots of people queue to get ice-cream or drinks, or to embark in the shuttle to Taboga. A part of the crew goes on shore to work on the Internet while the other part stay onboard and watch all this agitation from a distance.
We use this first day of 2009 to relax a little bit.

The transit of the canal is confirmed for January 3rd. We did all formalities without an agent. Every thing is well organized and our interlocutors were nice and efficient.

The breeze is quite steady until eight o'clock and allows us to sleep-in a bit longer, like a true Sunday. We decide to use our day to organize our logistic. Finally it is quite difficult. No dock available, no mobile connection, a weak Wifi network on shore, well !! we will have to reconsider our ambitious work load with the team in France.
Tomorrow, we will continue to work on the entry and transit paperwork.
